Jon Hoak, Owner & Chef

Jon Hoak of Brookville, PA is owner and chef of the Opera House Café & Marlin's Lounge.  Graduate of IUP culinary school, Jon has also studied in Switzerland and Pinehurst Country Club in South Carolina.

​

When Jon had the opportunity to start a restaurant in a historic building on Main Street in his hometown that he grew up in, he could not have been more excited.  Jon's dream to be a well known chef and restaurant owner all while staying well connected with family and friends quickly became a reality for him.  Jon does not take this opportunity for granted.  He loves serving the local patrons of Brookville and meeting all of the wonderful people who are traveling to the area.

Jon Hoak not only owns and manages his restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with high quality coffees, espressos and specialty drinks and a full service bar with hand crafted cocktails and a variety of wines and beers, but he is also the chef.  Jon has composed a simple menu that is bold in flavor.  He offers classic, simple flavors with a unique twist.  He takes pride in using high quality ingredients and making everything in house.
